COVID-19 is creating challenges for almost every business sector, but aviation has been especially negatively impacted. FlyRight, a leading FAA Part-142 Pilot Training Center based in North Carolina, is trying to help pilots and aircraft operators mitigate some of the negative COVID-19 impacts by offering it’s Landing Currency and Flight Review programs at no charge. While the FAA has relaxed certain regulations for pilots, that may not be sufficient to allow many operators to launch into the skies when travel restrictions are lifted and it’s time to fly again.
FlyRight’s Flight Review is a half-day FAA-approved program that will be accomplished in a multi-engine or single engine Level-C or D full flight simulator at our Charlotte-area Training Center. Our Landing Currency, which covers night landings, can be accomplished in even less time. Both programs are now being provided at no charge to experienced pilots whose flying has been interrupted by COVID-19 restrictions. FlyRight is offering these programs at no charge through May 15, 2020 to experienced professional pilots and operators who are supporting relief efforts and whose flying has been interrupted by COVID-19. Pre-Enrollment requirements include a minimum of 50-hours PIC in the previous 12 months in turbine-powered aircraft.
