Purpose of Position
Ground and Simulator Instructors deliver ground and simulator flight instruction in accordance with aviation regulations and FlyRight best practices.
Comply with FAA and prescribed OSHA standardization and safety requirements.

- Evaluate client training progress, identifying / documenting if any client training issues.

- Assist in the development and preparation of training materials.
- Complete training records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Instructor qualifications.
- Maintain a POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE where people want to work.
- Work with the entire FlyRight team to refine growth and strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physically Capable
- Stand up to 50 minutes per instructional session able to move between the Instructor station, screen and podium while instructing in the classroom.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- in a classroom as a presenter of prescribed material to clients.
- Able to sit in a full motion airplane simulator and instruct clients on aircraft procedures and flight maneuvers for 2 hours per session.
- Able to cross catwalks and walk up and down steps to a height of eighteen feet.
- In case of an EXTREME emergency be able to exit a full motion simulator and utilize twelve feet chain emergency ladder (emergency egress).
- Training (including successfully completing an initial / annual academic evaluation as well as a simulator (FAA 142.53(a)(7)) proficiency flight check ride.
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations.
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively.
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback / direction.
Minimum Experience
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- An unrestricted ATP certificate
- If no ATP, must meet the requirements of:
- 14 CFR part 61.153.
- 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- If no ATP, must meet the requirements of:
- Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time.
