The FAA updated the Instrument Rating Practical Test Standards in January 2010. FAA-S-8081-4E is available at the FAA website as a .pdf.
A few things have been clarified with respect to the Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) - including that it's only possible to get an IPC in aircraft or in a Level B/C/D simulator (no FTDs). Read more on our FAQ page here.
